Welcome to Woodbridge Academy!
Being a part of athletics teaches student athletes fair play, balance, life lessons, and builds character. Student-athletes grow and mature as individuals, while being responsible to a team. They develop self-esteem, healthy relationships, and a healthy lifestyle. Practice and competition provide the opportunity for growth in all areas of life.
At Woodbridge Academy, we are a member of the New Jersey Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA), New Jersey Technical Athletic Council (NJTAC) and participate in the Greater Middlesex Conference (GMC). We offer both Varsity and Junior Varsity levels of the following sports:
We encourage all incoming students to attend the summer workshops offered to our athletes.
To participate/tryout you must comply with all of the following:
- Athletic registration, permission forms and physical forms must be on file with the head coach and school nurse by the first official day of practice. They are available on our district webpage. Select Woodbridge Academy Campus, then click on the Athletics tab, and click on Athletic Forms. Forms can be completed and submitted electronically.
- Submission of an athletic physical packet after the due date DOES NOT guarantee participation on the first day of practice.
- A physical must be dated within 365 days of the first practice session to be valid. It is recommended a physical be dated after June 1, 2018 to ensure that your son/daughter is eligible to play the entire season.
- Physicals must be completed by:
- Your personal physician OR
- At the Woodbridge Academy Campus at a date to be determined for a free physical by the school physician
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact the athletic office at 732-257-3300 ext. 1821. Our summer office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30am – 4:30pm.
Have a wonderful summer and welcome to the Hornets family!
Sincerely,
Michael Pede
